SC65: Excursion to Berlin

The course headed to Berlin to participate in a workshop organized by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB) at the International Climate Initiative. In the afternoon the group was first guided through the BMUB facilities and afterwards had the opportunity to explore more of Germany’s capital on their own.

Stories from the lecture room: Communication

A lot of variety and action was offered today in Ms. Casers class. The EM38 course learned in a very lively way (see pictures) which factors have to be considered when communicating with the public and with decision makers.

The 38th UNEP/UNESCO/BMUB International Postgraduate Course on Environmental Management for Developing and Emerging Countries (aka EM38) has started today with a festive opening ceremony. Prof. Strahringer (vice rector for academic and international affairs at TU Dresden), a representative from the German Federal Ministry of the Environment, Nature Protection, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB) as well as many of our course facilitators and advisors joined us in welcoming the 21 new course participants and one guest student.

We are excited to get to know all the participants and to start classes based on the updated curriculum.
